Through its legal assistance service for social security and labour law support, Group S enables employers to receive effective help and advice concerning employment matters in an international context, as well as providing representation in the event of conflict with a worker, the ONSS/RSZ, the Social Inspectorate, etc.

To enforce our international legal team, we are looking for a legal advisor
What would you do as our legal advisor?

As an expert in social and employment law, you are the focal point for providing legal support to our clients. Your mailbox will include various questions on international employment law (individual and collective), the declaration of wages and hours worked to the social security service, or the taxation aspects of remuneration. Hence, on your desk top you have the latest overview of double taxation treaties, which has no secrets for you. Given your legal background, you are also able to manage disputes and litigation between employers and workers or official organisations. Your expertise and customer orientation with a human touch, makes you a longterm and trusted focal point for your clients.

After working in the international legal team of Group S for a while, you also organise in-house trainings or seminars to inform your colleagues about the latest updates in the international law.

What are we looking for in our legal advisor?

You have a master's degree in law and have several years of experience in Belgian employment law. You are interested in international social and/or employment law (secondment,) the payroll taxation (double tax treaties, expat status, salary split,), and in the reporting of wages and benefits to social security in particular.

Since you will work with international clients, you can fluently communicate with them in English, and also speak French or Dutch.

You can work autonomously, but also like use your colleagues or manager as a sparring partner. You are assertive and have excellent communication and commercial skills.
