WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

_EU Institutions:
Cloud Solution Architect_

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you will play a central role in the seamless integration of diverse information systems within the European Institutions.

Your responsibilities will span from in-depth analysis of data and modeling to overseeing the technical architecture implementation.

Serving as the crucial link between project leaders and developers, you will contribute to the production of comprehensive software architecture documents.

Active participation in technical working groups and collaboration in various project stages, from development to deployment, underscores your integral role.

Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and blueprinting Cloud Architecture, evaluating existing systems for cloud migration, and crafting architecture components using cutting-edge cloud technologies.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the technological advancement of our client in Brussels.

YOUR TASKS

Analysis of the integration of different information systems
Data analysis and data modeling
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
Production of software architecture documents
Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with the users
Assistance during relevant parts of development, testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting
Creating designs and blueprints of Cloud Architecture
Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud
Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Excellent knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns
Excellent knowledge of Object Oriented Architecture
Good knowledge of microservices and architecture in the cloud
Good knowledge of modeling tools
Good knowledge of Solution Architecture
Good knowledge of Relational DBMS
Good knowledge of business process analysis
Excellent knowledge of interoperability technology (web services, messageoriented middleware, serviceoriented bus, event architecture)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings, ease of communication
Good redaction skills
Ability to give technical presentations
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural.
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in team
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
Ability to work in multicultural environment, on multiple large projects
Excellent Team Player
Ability to understand, speak and write English (C1/C2) will be an advantage

The following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:

Minimum 6 years' experience in architecture and design of information systems
Minimum 6 years' experience in Java with extensive use of design patterns
Minimum 6 years' experience in relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, etc.)
Minimum 6 years' experience with SQL language
Minimum 6 years' experience with Spring framework
Minimum 4 years' experience with the Angular2 framework
Minimum 4 years' experience with XML
Minimum 4 years' experience in the development of SOAP or REST web services
Minimum 3 years' experience with JIRA and GIT

Following certificates & standards are an asset for the performance of tasks:

Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP) certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Google Professional Cloud Architect
Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).

Bachelor's degree of 3 years.
Near-Site in Brussels
