WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

This position will support CNHI's Harvesting Innovation Engineering activities.

Lead and execute innovation projects related to agronomic data collection and processing that can be linked to optimize the harvest process, productivity improvement and efficiency.

Prepare and complete designs and system architectures, design reviews, test plan.

Coordinate prototype software development and performance check on the vehicles defining test procedures, if required, and the corrective actions to achieve the results.

Travel to gain product and functional experience, capture needs and feedback from customers and dealers, plan and participate in the evaluation of concept systems in the field.

Accountable to maintain project log on assigned tasks and work with team through development and implementation phases to meet timing.

Communicate with the engineering and agronomic design team to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion.

This position will report to the Harvesting Innovation Manager but will work closely with various Ag Product Platforms, the technology innovation team and IOT specialists.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as Harvesting Innovation team member by developing innovative, functional features and systems that address future customer needs. An extensive amount of independent thinking is required to generate new ideas with focus on agronomic sensing and processing geospatial data.
• Design, install and support data acquisition and sensors for collecting agronomic data for the innovation groups test fleet and field studies.
• Organize, execute and manage test plan for proving out agronomic innovation concepts
• Review and understand technologies and trends that will influence medium term and long term customer requirements and painpoints.

Other Responsibilities:

Share ideas for continuous improvements on the AG products and on best practices for the team.
Competency and desire to become and stay expert in his/her domain of technology


YOUR KEY COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in development of reliable data acquisition systems primary focussing on Labview, Matlab, Python toolsets, C++
• Knowledge of mechanical design, crop sensing concepts, data collection and analysis.
• Strong capacity to expose the benefits, explain the system interactions and requirements in a simple and clear way to different levels of the organization.
• Master or PHD in Ag Engineering (Bio Science) with experience in data acquisition systems
• Excited to participate in all aspects of concept development of agronomic data collection and processing including in field testing.
• Capability to work independently.
• Resilience and team spirit to sell the ideas and work on a complex multifunctional environment
• Ability to interact easily in a team environment including external teams and students.
• Willingness to travel and participate in abroad field evaluation.
• Enthousiasm for Agricultural Equipment.
• Experience with off road machinery requirements and operations, as well as the agronomic impact.
