- Analyze technical specifications in tenders to define equipment and service requirements considering performance, capacity, and environmental conditions.
- Support bill of materials, quantities, and process diagrams to establish cost prices.
- Optimize sizing and performance specifications of cold rolling mills through calculations.
- Attend and validate design reviews during proposal and design stages.
- Ensure adherence to technology standards and guidelines for competitive solutions in the Product Line.
- Provide support in commissioning new lines and drive the adoption of innovative technologies.
- Conduct trainings, knowledge sharing sessions, and workshops to enhance team members' expertise.
- Lead innovation projects to drive continuous improvement and stay ahead in the industry.
- Development of new mill concepts such as John Cockerill's combination of 6 Hi/ 20 hi for Si-steel.
- Re-engineering 4 / 6 hi twin stand / reversing mill design.
- CRM electrical steel (USA) – acting as Technical Project Manager.
- Engineering degree or extensive experience in cold rolling processes.
- 10-15 years experience in mechanical / electrical engineering for CRM or PLTCM in metals industry.
- Good knowledge in metallurgy, especially advanced steels and rolling technologies.
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering outstanding results.
- Effective leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
- Clear and convincing communication style.
- Structured and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Strong prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Resilient under pressure and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to represent the company internationally.
- Willingness to travel internationally (10-25% of time) for client meetings.

To support the Industry sector, John Cockerill seeks a Product Line Manager Cold Rolling Mills (m/f/d) to lead development activities across all finishing lines for carbon & silicon steel industry under the Metals subsidiary.
Nature and Scope of the Mission
The Product Line Manager for Cold Rolling Mills at John Cockerill is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the existing product line in terms of references, performances, reliability, cost, and standardization. They have full authority over the technological portfolio within their Product Line and drive product development initiatives.
The PLM plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the complete lifecycle of pre-project proposals, leading the preparation of technical proposals, bidding processes, and negotiating technical contracts to ensure customer satisfaction and align commercial objectives with technical requirements.
Additionally, the PLM serves as a key technical expert influencing innovation and project execution, ensuring technology standards are met for customer satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
