The job is based in our facility in Zwijnaarde, Belgium.

Key Responsibilities:

Support structure determination of antibodies and complexes thereof using Xray crystallography and cryoelectron microscopy.
Collaborate with research teams to analyze structural data and interpret results in the context of molecular function and disease pathways.
Contribute to the design and optimization of protein expression and purification strategies to facilitate elucidation of structurefunction mechanisms.
Contribute to the identification and leveraging of computational tools and algorithms to address recurring scientific challenges.
Identify and proactively address suboptimal aspects of the role, working with the team to implement improvements.

Desired skills, experience and challenges:

D. degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related field with a demonstrated expertise in structural biology.

Strong knowledge of various structural analysis techniques, such as Xray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy, or cryoelectron microscopy, and associated computational tools.
Experience in using software tools for protein structure prediction and molecular modelling in a Linux environment is a strong asset.
Experience working with membrane proteins is a plus.
