The main functions and tasks of the Python Programmer are the following:

  • Developing and implementing cutting-edge technological solutions that can provide operational added value for researchers.
  • Ensure that software solutions are thoroughly tested (unit tests, integration tests) and meet legal and quality standards.
  • Drafting and keeping uptodate technical documentation (including design and implementation).
  • Proactively contributing to the definition and implementation of improvements to the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) methodologies and tools.

Requirements.

Essential experience:


  • Preferably 9 years or more professional experience in software development projects, of which at least 4 years fulltime handson Python programming experience.
  • Experience with frontend and serverside development.
  • Knowledge of design concepts for security, high availability/scalability and microservices based architectures.
  • SQL & target database
  • Data analysis

Desirable experience:


  • Experience with data science
  • HTML and CSS
  • Java/typescript
  • REST
  • For processing XML the knowledge of XML, XSD, XSLT, etc

General competencies:


  • Communicating and comprehension in a bilingual work environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language is a requirement.
  • Be able to draw up clear and concise documents on complex matters for different target groups.
  • Structured approach to work aimed at achieving results.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team
