Your role & work environment*:Maximize value for ING from contracts, by ensuring effective contract management, realizing saving initiatives and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Minimize risks and maximize performance from suppliers by developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and integrating supplier innovations. Lead sourcing initiatives to support internal stakeholders in selecting the best value for money solutions.


Be part of an experienced and stable team, reporting to the Head of Contract & Vendor management, who reports to the Chief Procurement Officer.


Your key responsibilities*:


Contract & supplier management

  • Interpret and define the conditions for a contract and conclude contracts with high financial and high nonfinancial risk.
  • Validate contract related content, perform followup of contract related outcome, inquire internal clients on delivery performance and align with suppliers to find solutions where needed.
  • Ensure contract and supplier compliance with ING policies and processes and work with the business to rectify areas of concern.
  • Act as moderator and gatekeeper of procurement processes in discussions between internal clients and suppliers.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities for existing contracts and services.

Sourcing

  • Lead sourcing activities (specification, supplier preselection, negotiation, contract drafting,...) for high financial and high nonfinancial risk.
  • Support more experienced buyers in larger and critical purchases (e.g. global deals).
  • Lead and coach crossfunctional team members in the execution of sourcing initiatives endtoend.
  • All this, to obtain best value for money from the supply market, ensure healthy crosssupplier competition, negotiate best contractual terms while mitigating business risks.

As a Lead Buyer Contract & Vendor management you will also need:

  • Minimum of Master or equivalent experience
  • Minimum >5 years of procurement experience

Expert knowledge of your categories (products and services) and markets. Experience in procurement of facility services is a plus.

Advanced knowledge of sourcing strategies and negotiation

Advanced knowledge of financials used in sourcing and category management, of cost management, of commercial contracts and purchase law

  • Proficiency in verbal and written English. Proficiency in verbal and written Dutch and/or French

High ability to analyze complex information and to summarize into a clear overview

Skills to present regularly to and to moderate an internal or external management team

  • Proficiency in Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook) and procurement tools
