Job Description:


In this role, you will take charge of the NWC and ensure that the Group significantly reduces its NWC level.

Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with management across all levels, implementing necessary actions, fostering best practices among Eurofins companies, and establishing specific goals and tools.

As a Group NWC Controller, your work will include:

  • Monitoring and assessing NWC Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as DSO, DPO, inventory, and other financial metrics
  • Conducting performance comparisons against budget and previous periods to ensure continuous improvement
  • Maintaining accurate treasuryrelated data within our existing system
  • Utilising our advanced reporting tools to create a dedicated dashboard, enabling efficient tracking of NWC KPIs at both local and Group level
  • Identifying legal entities that deviate from expectations and developing action plans to rectify noncompliance
  • Producing reports to alert management to any deviations
  • Sharing best practices & solutions
  • Contributing to the budget process by partnering with our Group Treasury and controlling teams to set realistic NWC targets for each scope
  • Participating in exciting Group Treasury projects related to NWC and other strategic areas (ERP, etc.)

POSITION & OBJECTIVES:

In particular, she/he will ensure that the following metrics and objectives are met:

  • NWC KPI
  • Monitor and assess, in strict respect of Group Rules and Budget objectives:
  • DSO (days sale outstanding

  • Relative performance vs. budget and previous periods of the same KPI.
  • Control the Treasuryrelated input in the existing system
  • Define and structure the tools
  • Use existing Group reporting tools (Cognos/TM1, Coupa) to build up a dedicated dashboard to follow NWC KPI from local entity level to group level views
  • Establish every month the list of deviating legal entities
  • Design specific actionplans, report on a casebycase basis for noncompliant legal entities
  • Produce regular report and alert management on deviation
  • Weekly report to Group Treasury & Financing Director
  • Monthly report to the CFO and the Group Executive Committee
  • Point of contact for Group Treasury of all action plans implemented by legal entities
  • Group Executive Committee monthly presentation on NWC
  • Diffusion of best practices & correction of deviation
  • Define and implement the best way to advertise on best practices: newsletter, elearning module, targetbased games, etc.
  • Projectmode on correction of deviation: define objectives, timeline and milestone with the local team to reach targets of improvement
  • Reporting on this activity with success rate, learnfrommistakes, etc.
  • Contribute to budget process
  • Work with the rest of Group Treasury team and controlling teams to set up NWC targets for each scope
  • Participate to Group Treasury projects related to NWC and others
  • Interact on behalf of Group Treasury with Group tools that may be relevant for NWC (Coupa, ERPs)
  • There may be adhoc project to implement other Treasury rules from timetotime (new rule of maximum net cash, overdraft, etc.) for which the NWC Controller may help thanks to his/her knowledge of the group and local management teams/NSC

Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance
  • Successful prior working experience (23 years) as a Controller, Financial Analyst or in Audit is mandatory
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of business processes (P2P, C2C)
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills to drive effective decisionmaking
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate work
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Fluent English language proficiency to facilitate seamless communication
  • Exceptional interpersonal
