Therapeutic Development and Supply (TDS) is part of the global Janssen Research & Development organization within Johnson & Johnson

The Clinical Supply Chain (CSC) has a global responsibility for all clinical medication for Johnson & Johnson worldwide. We reach over 60,000 patients with over 300 clinical trials per year.

We are recruiting for a (senior) manager, Business Operations as part of the department Innovation and Strategy within Clinical Supply Chain, located in Beerse, Belgium; Chesterbrook, USA or Titusville, USA.


Position overview:


You are responsible for managing and keeping oversight of the CSC business operations in close collaboration with internal and external partners.

You optimize and transform the business processes in line with new modalities & capabilities, strategies, and new regulations.

The Associate Director, Business Operations is accountable for development, training and creating tools to ensure real-time business and portfolio oversight and communication to internal and external stakeholders.

This individual has a good knowledge of the standard CSC methodologies and systems while maintaining oversight of global and complex operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Portfolio and process oversight:


  • Ensures prioritization with CSC MT for LRFP and changes in line with financial calendar reporting
  • Supports the building of processes and tools for the entire for Clinical Supply Chain Operations and collects stakeholder input
  • Maintain and update the Processes & applicable platforms in line with new developments like modalities & capabilities, strategies, new regulations (including processes within R&D and the Playbook, SharePoint, Tableau)
  • Keeps oversight over the processes, conducts analysis and trending to identify opportunities
  • Supports lean initiatives through implementation using the appropriate project management tools and captures value
  • Leads governance for the business processes and offers support to CSC governance structures
  • Develops training and optimizes onboarding
  • Servers as point for business operations, coordinates and maintains oversight for CSC
Builds relations with key stakeholders within TDS, JSC and BTDS (finance, PMO, capacity management)


Participation as a functional expert in cross-functional teams:

  • Drives efficiency and effectiveness and collects the voice of the customer with active participation in Communities of practice
  • Provide business operations support when questions are raised by experts

Others:


  • Develops, coaches, and guides a team in the execution and realization of departmental and company goals, optimizing overall group efficiency and business impact
  • Leads organizational change practices to ensure effective implementation and integration of process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:


Education:


  • Bachelor or master's degree or related is required with a degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or Operations Research is helpful (or equivalent by experience).

Experience:


  • 6 years including with demonstrated knowledge of supply chain is required (or equivalent by experience)
  • Experience managing projects is required
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel and proficiency in English are required
  • APICS /CPIM certification or knowledge of Six sigma/process excellence tools, training and/or certification is helpful

  • Insight in supply chain business acumen and ability to translate CSC strategy into business operations
  • Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional/virtual teams where required
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and compelling to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, and timelines
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of organizational change concepts and methodologies
  • Ability to extract the knowledge and insights from data
