wide and varied experience in these fields gained from 24 years as a qualified architect in various countries from 1999 as an architect in Belgium. Early on in my career, I had years of international experience in health, commercial and residential markets. My work includes higher education, public and health projects. Project involvement encompasses the entire value-chain, from project administration to management of construction documents. Working on a range of projects I have held various posts including project manager, method and planning engineer, EPB adviser.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2021 till present: KYOTEC: Architectural designer/ Quantity Surveyor: facade system (Belgium, UK)

Develop architectural design for production, manufacturing and assembly of façade systems; procurement, appointment and management of subcontracts & suppliers through to final account agreement; creation material schedules, specifications and quantities, ordering of materials; preparing monthly progress accounts, purchasing and monitoring of subcontractor and specialist supplier packages.

2020-2021: Logement pour Tous: Architect Project Manager

Responsible for planning and overseeing various construction projects from beginning to end. Inspections of existing buildings to ensure these buildings with building regulation. Code research, feasibility studies. Implementation of BIM tools such as Revit and BIM 360 BIM for more effective construction cost estimation and planning.

2014-2020 : BESIX : 

BIM specialist / coordinator: I implemented BIM technology (coordination various IFC models, clash detection (Navisworks), estimating, BOQ, BOM) to improve project management and cost effectiveness.

Architect, Estimator: production of architectural plans and drawings, facade analysis, value estimation, monitor cost from subcontractors, explore variances, prepare cost and expenditure statements, tender analysis. 

My design proposal of the Nachtigal project (150 K $ cheaper) was chosen by the client because of optimal and sustainable solutions on Design and Build.

Our company won the project of Rail Baltica Central Station based on the solution I proposed (500 K $ cheaper) as the most sustainable and the most cost-effective for the customer. (Belgium)

Business developer: I assist the executive board defining strategic goals for the international development of the company and identify relevant project opportunities, follow the entire project acquisition process of strategically important international projects; define a winning strategy for the project (market research, international business development, price analysis). 

2012-2014: I.E.S/ BESIX: Architectural engineer / Estimator: study of metal structure, organization and planning of construction sites, (temporary structures, civil engineering, maritime works). CAD/BIM modeling. Pricing research : Belgium, UK. 

2012: AARC (Bureau d’architectes): Architecte Project Manager : Reconstruction of the Institut in Brussels, preparation of the Construction Permit application file, preparation of the file for execution, negotiation with contractors, BOQ.

2010-2012: NEY & PARTNERS: Architect / Quantity Surveyor : Responsible for the development and design of structures and details, Enhancing planning and scheduling program by using benefits of BIM.

2009-2010: ART & BUILD : Architect, Quantity Surveyor: hospital projects: budget management, design and development of details as well as database management of those details. Preparation of the planning permit application file. Execution control, cash flow management, pre-contract cost control and document preparation.
