Clara Hoyas

My name is Clara Hoyas, I hold a Master’s degree in Translation, with specialist focus on Translation in an Intercultural Context, in English and Spanish. I currently work in Communications and Project management in a non-for-profit organization and I would like to apply for a potential position in the Translation sector in Seville. 

Since February 2022, I have been working for an international environmental NGO as a Junior Communications and Project Manager. As such, I run the organization's website and social media, write articles and press releases, organise and participate in conferences and fairs, manage the organization's projects and collaborate on EU-funded projects (Horizon Europe). On a daily basis, I mainly use English, followed by French and Spanish.

I value teamwork above, and I am naturally curious. In fact, I work in an international environment and I love to exchange and bond with co-workers from different cultures, but this curiosity especially affects my professional environment as I’m always eager to learn new skills and knowledge and I very easily receive feedback.

As far as languages are concerned, French is my mother tongue. I also speak English and Spanish (C1 level), and Dutch (B1 level).

In addition to my strong taste for linguistics, writing and communication, I have acquired efficient organization and coordination skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and with rigor and precision, as attested by the multiple projects I work on every day.

I worked as an English teacher in high school, after which I started a position as a unior Communications Executive for an environmental NGO, which is still my current position.
