Digital Marketing Intern: Oct 2021 - Apr 2022

My internship as a digital marketeer with Proximus & Doktr was part of my Postgraduate degree in Digital Marketing and Communication at EHSAL Management School. During my time as junior B2B marketeer, I had the opportunity to work on a lot of different and exciting projects.

In social media I learned more about setting up paid campaigns and organic social media posts on different channels. In content marketing I was responsible for the strategy, website optimization and community management. In one-to-one communication, I helped setting up the automated emails, together with creating the monthly newsletters for the B2B side. Overall, I found out more about the copywriting aspect as well, writing copy for website articles, social media posts and newsletters.

In general, I can confidently say I gained a lot of new insights I will take with me on my next journey.
On a more personal view I grew in self-confidence, communication skills and adaptability. Skills I value and will continue to improve.

During my internship at the BeLux affiliate of Novo Nordisk Pharma, I got the opportunity to learn new insights on a variety of topics and areas within marketing. From a patient centric approach and mostly focusing on the B2B side, analyzing, reporting, and proposing next steps were part of my responsibilities.

In email marketing I worked on B2B communication. This included writing copy and providing visual input for several emails and designing the final version. 
Regarding the Belgian version of the website in Dutch and in French, I was responsible both for creating and giving input for a new version of blocks, sections, and new webpages.
Participating in several communication campaigns for the email and social media channels were also an important aspect of my traineeship that helped me gain a level of copywriting and content creation.

Furthermore, important insights added to my interest in search engine marketing (SEM), as well as search engine optimization (SEO) and advertising (SEA). Herewith I discovered how SEA works and provided valuable input to further optimize the website and keywords.

Next to these projects, I also collaborated with other affiliates to work more efficiently and obtain comprehensive and helpful insights on digital marketing and communication in general.

As a summer marketing trainee, it also gave me a more in-depth view on all these subjects, adding to my knowledge and helping me better understand these areas of marketing.
