Dimitri Van de Perre

Als doctor in de toegepaste biologische wetenschappen heb ik een grondige kennis over aquatische ecosystemen, ecologische studies, ecotoxicologie en beheer. Ik zie mezelf als een harde werker en team player die graag nieuwe dingen leert. Mijn tijd in China heeft me veel geleerd over problem solving, het werken in een multiculturele omgeven en hoe het hoofd koel te houden onder de meest uitdagende omstandigheden.

Between 2013 and 2018 I’ve been working as PhD student/ research scientist at the university of Ghent (Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology and Aquatic Ecology) about the combined and interactive effects of zinc, temperature and phosphorus on freshwater planktonic communities. As PhD student my function consisted of conducting scientific experiments, writhing articles and supervising/teaching students.

For three and a half years I’ve been working as a post-doctoral scientist at the South normal university environmental research institute (SERI) in Guangzhou, China. My work here mainly consisted of assessing the potential effects of chemicals (e.g. Imidacloprid, Lambda-Cyhalothrin and cyclophosphamide) on freshwater aquatic ecosystems under subtropical conditions.  

At present I’m working Normec OWS as an overall study director for the investigation of the disintegration and composability of plastics and help consulting clients for receiving certification.
