Over Harsha Anna Roy:

Hello,

My name is Harsha Anna Roy and I just moved to Belgium from Australia with my husband at the start of August 2022. By way of background, I possess around 8 years of experience as a high- performing early childhood educator, having acquired my experience educating and taking care of children in Australia as well as in China. I am a diploma qualified instructor and I have a deep passion for connecting and forming positive relationships with children of all ages. On a personal front, I consider myself a gifted, innovative, and creative individual that can personally engage with the individual strengths, abilities, and interests of any child.

Before arriving in Belgium, I worked as an art educator at Fitzroy Early Learning Centre in Melbourne which is a Reggio Emilia inspired child care centre. I developed the art curriculum, executed art classes in the atelier for children of different age groups. Prior to my role at Fitzroy Early Learning centre, I worked as an assistant educator in G8 Education Limited in Melbourne being another Reggio Emilia inspired early learning centre. I assisted the room leader in planning and executing educational and creative activities for children in line with the early years learning frameworks and a pedagogical approach.

The reason that I am applying for a suitable role is because of my love for communities and seeing them thrive. I want to make a difference with everything that I have to offer at this role and within the community. I'm keen to learn about Belgium, and its people and I wish to be involved in communities, projects, and sustainable development activities.

I am interested and eager to learn and contribute positively to the best of my capabilities, and I truly believe that my experience and varied skills would be mutually beneficial. As evidenced on my CV, my current and previous experiences at Australia and China have shown me how I can be a cohesive part of any team and how easily I can adapt and interact with diverse groups of individuals. I work well under pressure, am highly resilient and love to educate, connect with and nourish children. Additionally, I believe that my passion to learn and excel, strive, and constantly improve the service delivered makes me the right candidate.
