Over Kenny Piasecki:
I am currently a policy advisor at Insurance Europe in charge of cyber security and cyber insurance files. In my current role, I monitor geopolitical events that influence the availability of cyber insurance, such as state-backed cyber attacks and the proliferation of ransomware attacks. In addition, I have compiled responses to consultations on cybersecurity, such as on operational resilience, cyber incident reporting, and cyber risk stress testing.
Overall, I have a significant interest in geopolitical events. In my previous role at the Belgian Royal Military as a foresight officer, I constructed a national country report on Burkina Faso through the use of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) which was used by military officials, academics, and industry experts during a foresight exercise about the Sahel. In accordance with this report, I participated in foresight exercises, using PESTEL analysis to address security concerns in the Sahel.
I would like to further develop skills in cybersecurity and OSINT analysis.
