Malena Galoppo

 Allow me to introduce myself. I am an efficient and dedicated professional with over 5 years of study in graphic design, culminating in a first-class degree.  My passion for art drew me to this particular field, and throughout my studies, I have developed my artistic skills and proficiency in using the Adobe suite. I have extensive experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects. Some of my skills include producing images and illustrations, branding, designing layouts and posters, developing styles for websites, social media profiles, and corporate communications, as well as video editing and packaging design.

As a multimedia designer, I prefer working with my hands and exploring different mediums, which often proves to be an asset in my creative process. This hands-on approach allows me to bring a unique perspective to my projects and push boundaries creatively. Whether it's sketching ideas on paper or experimenting with mixed media, I enjoy exploring the versatility of design.

In addition to my design skills, I am multilingual and fluent in Spanish, English, and Greek. This linguistic proficiency enables me to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds and deliver projects tailored to their specific needs.

During May 2023 to July 2023, I had the privilege of working at Conseederate in Athens, Greece. In this role, I served as an illustrator and assistant, utilizing my creative skills to bring ideas to life. I also contributed to managing social media platforms, ensuring effective communication and engagement with the target audience.

From December 2022 to March 2023, I had the opportunity to work at the Rebecca Camhi Gallery in Athens, Greece. As a graphic designer and curator assistant, I played a key role in creating visually captivating materials and assisting with the curation process. I also had the chance to showcase my photography skills during this time.

Between September 2020 and April 2022, I was actively involved in the Paste Up Athens Festival in Athens, Greece. As a social media manager and content creator, I effectively promoted the festival, engaging with the community and generating excitement. Additionally, I played a crucial role in organizing successful events.

From April 2019 to August 2021, I worked at ESCOBA Restaurant/Bar in Athens, Greece, where I gained valuable experience in waiting and service. This role helped me develop strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

In October and November 2019, I completed a paid internship at Audrey Zucker Agency, a Fashion Incubator in Athens, Greece. During this time, I served as a graphic designer, social media manager, and content creator, contributing to the agency's creative endeavors.

From December 2018 to March 2019, I worked as a customer care representative for Philips at Teleperformance in Athens, Greece. This experience provided me with valuable skills in delivering exceptional customer service, conflict resolution, and meeting sales and service targets.

Finally, from August 2018 to December 2019, I worked as a Microsoft technical surface agent at Teleperformance in Athens, Greece. In this role, I provided technical support for Microsoft products, helping customers troubleshoot and find solutions.

These diverse experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded professional with a strong foundation in graphic design, social media management, customer service, and event organization. I am confident that my skills and dedication make me an ideal candidate for future creative endeavors.

In September 2019, I embarked on a transformative educational journey, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Applied Arts. This comprehensive program, culminating in a First Degree, was jointly offered by Vakalo School of Art and Design in Athens, Greece, and the University of Derby. Over the course of three years, I delved into various aspects of graphic design, honing my skills and knowledge in this dynamic field.

Prior to my time in Greece, I had the privilege of attending the Royal Academy of Arts Antwerp in Antwerp, Belgium, from September 2017 to September 2018. During this period, I completed the first year of a three-year Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design (Honours). This experience provided me with exposure to a diverse creative environment and helped shape my artistic perspective.

In September 2016, I embarked on a foundation year in Art at College Menai in Bangor, Wales, UK. This formative year laid the groundwork for my artistic journey, allowing me to explore different art disciplines and establish a solid foundation in art theory and practice. I successfully completed this foundation year with distinction, further fueling my passion for the visual arts.
