Sadia Bashir

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Sadia Bashir from Ghent, Belgium. I received my Bachelor degree in Botany (BS Botany) in 2019 from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan. During my graduation, I have got great experience related to plant stress physiology. During my research, I examined the impact of salt stress on plant growth and physiology. My graduation research work was published in “Australian Journal of Crop Science” entitled as “Structural and functional stability of photosystem-II in Moringa oleifera under salt stress”. This experience of conducting research, developed my interest for more advance research in the area of plant, soil and environmental sciences. I continued my search, for more problems of plants while doing my master degree from University of the Punjab which is one of the best universities in Pakistan. During my master degree, I researched on impact of compost and fungi assisted phytoremediation of petroleum hydrocarbons contaminated soils by using Zinnia elegans. I have got fully funded scholarship for my MS, in 2019 from famous public research University, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. I am a merit position holder throughout the academic years of graduation and ranked overall 3rd in the batch. I also got academic excellence award in my school and college studies. During my study, I learned research data analyses techniques and statistical analysis by using different software such as SPSS, Excel, CoSTAT, Adobe photoshop and R. Moreover, I have very good experience of analysing soil, water, plant and compost samples in laboratory. In addition, I have two years science teaching experience and also worked as teaching assistant at Punjab university, Pakistan. Now, I am in Ghent, Belgium and I have full work rights and I am interested to find relevant job to improve my skills and helpful to grow my long-term career.

I have worked in Environmental Biotechnology laboratory at University of the Punjab, Pakistan for more than one year during my masters research. During my graduation I worked in Plant Stress Physiology laboratory. I have very good experience of analysing soil, water, plant and compost samples in laboratory. In addition, I have two years science teaching experience and also worked as teaching assistant at Punjab university, Pakistan. I worked as a biology lecturer at Aspire group of colleges in Pakistan. 
 

I worked in tissue culture laboratory, botanical garden and in greenhouse during masters practical work.
