Responsibilities

Lead a team of supervisors and technical staff to manage maintenance, service recovery and renewal & modification works of high voltage (HV) / overhead line (OHL) / traction power systems, up to and including 25kV / 1500V / 750V traction, 33kV / 11kV /3.

3kV three-phase AC power supply systems as well as low voltage distribution and trackside auxiliary equipment
Monitor the performance of contractors and coordinate with different stakeholders for smooth implementation of maintenance works and performance
Resolve technical problems and conduct technical investigation / analysis
Perform testing and commissioning, review technology application and formulate maintenance strategies and work instructions / standards
Manage budget, tender evaluation and contract administration
Supervise the overhaul maintenance and condition-based monitoring works, manage the progress of modification projects as well as implement asset management activities for assurance purpose
Co-ordinate with other departments on user requirements and design / procurement issues to ensure smooth execution of maintenance works

Requirements

Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
A minimum of 4 years' experience in HV / OHL / traction power system maintenance, of which 2 years should be at supervisory level
Possession of Corporate Membership of a professional institution in a related discipline, Grade "C" or "H" Certificate of Registration of Electrical Worker and a valid Hong Kong driving licence class 1 and 2 are preferred
Sound knowledge of operation and maintenance of railway supply equipment is an advantage
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Remarks

Candidates with lower qualification but extensive experience will also be considered
Required to perform shift duties and work under adverse weather and emergency situations
