We're on the lookout for a Vendor Quality Lead who embodies leadership, expertise, and strategic thinking to join our team in the Global Quality Assurance department, based in our office in Braine, Belgium.


About the Role


This role is pivotal in providing leadership and deep QA expertise in driving strategic and operational Quality Assurance activities associated with Global Vendors engaged in GMP manufacturing activities for UCB Products.


Who You'll Work With


You'll collaborate closely with QA management within UCB, as well as interface with Product Global Quality Leads, Vendor Quality Leads for other vendor sites, and various UCB teams.


What You'll Do

  • Serve as the central UCB QA point of contact for investigations, deviations, and audit observations associated with assigned vendors.
  • Manage key performance indicators for operational QA activities and services associated with the vendors.
  • Ensure all Quality agreements are in place and up to date for the vendors.
  • Oversee Product Quality Reviews and participate in vendor meetings.
  • Act as a contact person for quality complaints and coordinate investigations with the vendor.
  • Provide expert QA advice and support for technical operational QA matters.
  • Cover the entire product life cycle for assigned vendors.
  • Manage documentation and oversee audits and inspections related to vendors.
  • Drive resolution for complex quality issues and support other vendors as needed.

Interested? For this role, we're seeking the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

  • Master's Degree
  • Registration: Eligibility as a Qualified Person in EU is an advantage
  • Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical/biologics industry in a quality management position.
  • Operational GMP experience preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory interactions and GMP auditing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently analyze data and solve complex problems.
  • Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
  • Proficiency in operating across cultures and in a multicultural environment.
  • Root cause and risk management/assessment skills.
