We are now looking for a passionate
Engineering Manager that can lead
a product
team in the Global Manufacturing Digital area
.

This role is based in Ghent **and will be covering all people working in the team:
both employees and consultants, in Ghent and the rest of the world.

For this role you will be collaborating mostly with the Product Manager and the engineers of your team, the Solution Architects and the Senior Engineering Manager of your cluster.

What you'll do?

Amongst other things you will:

Lead and develop a team of hardworking engineers through hiring, mentoring, continuously inspiring and providing feedback.
Ensure, through streamlined execution and experimentation, that our solutions meet the needs of our customers quickly and accurately.
Support and coach the team when needed.
Sit in the center of the team and drive the execution, ways of working and secure we have a high motivated team that feel a joint responsibility for what they deliver.
Have a business perspective and together with the Product Manager, take ownership to deliver on our transformation journey.
Collaborate with other engineering leaders across the organization.

You listen closely to, identify and solve escalated team impediments with main attention on flow and escalate when needed
You support your team in their everyday work by being present and attentive to their needs
You challenge your team to continuously learn
You define the working methodology for your team
You recruit highly skilled individuals in line with identified capability and competence needs
You are responsible for your employees work environment according to defined tasks
You responsible for all HR employee related processes (e.g. salary setting, appraisals, goal setting)
Technology Responsibility:
You define the technology roadmap for the area
You take decisions on the technology that is to be used
You align with the architecture team to understand the overall technology strategy of the company
You stay updated and drive continuous improvements related to your responsibilities (e.g. tools, IT, flow, ways of working)
You actively participate in technical discussions to stay updated in your technology domain to guide and coach your team
You safeguard long term technical strategies in close collaboration with the team
You proactively work with competence development to assure the right competence in line with long term technical strategies
Working Methodology:
You listen closely to identify and solve escalated team impediments with main attention on flow and escalate when needed
You facilitate realtime data transparency e.g. visualization of KPIs, Quality metrics, Test coverage etc.
You attend ceremonies and formal procedures on request or when relevant
