    Belgium is a core market for us. We're hiring an Investment Manager to strengthen our presence on the ground in Ghent.

    You'll work hand in hand with Partners and founders on real investment decisions — with meaningful ownership from day one.

    If you're serious about building a long-term career in early-stage VC, this is a rare seat inside a focused, high-conviction fund.

    The RoleYou'll join a small, agile venture team with deep roots in the Belgian ecosystem and strong European ambition.

    You'll operate with real autonomy across sourcing and execution — forming independent conviction, driving opportunities forward, and taking accountability for outcomes.

    You'll spend your time in real founder conversations — developing trust, insight, and conviction early.

    What you'll doYou'll operate across the full early-stage investment lifecycle:

    Source and engage exceptional founders across Belgium and Europe

    Develop investment theses around emerging AI and SaaS shifts

    Lead founder discussions from first meeting through deep dives

    Drive diligence across markets, products, and competitive positioning

    Write crisp, investment-grade memos and decision materials

    Represent Fortino Ventures across the ecosystem

    This is active investing, with real responsibility and accountability.

    What you bringEarly-stage VC isn't just about pattern recognition or market models.

    At this stage, products are evolving, markets are still forming — and the biggest variable is often the founder/s.

    This role is fundamentally about people: earning trust quickly, reading conviction and resilience, asking the questions that really matter, and building relationships long before a deal is obvious.

    You're likely a strong fit if you have:

    4–6 years in early-stage VC, growth investing, top-tier consulting, or a high-performing SaaS/AI scale-up environment

    Strong founder intuition — you understand what drives exceptional people and how to spot signal early

    The ability to build credibility fast : you listen well, challenge thoughtfully, and show up with substance

    Sound judgement under uncertainty — you can form conviction when the data is incomplete

    Experience owning key parts of the investment process end-to-end

    Clear, structured thinking and communication

    An AI-first mentality and genuine technical curiosity

    High standards, energy, and a deep interest in company building

    VC is analytical — but it is ultimately human. We're looking for someone who masters both.

    Language requirementFluent Dutch or French is essential, plus strong English.
