As a Business Engagement Sr. Associate, you will be part of the Sourcing & Enterprise Services Team (S&ES) who are responsible for all aspects of strategic sourcing for externally purchased goods and services across Pfizer as well as delivery for several critical enterprise services

Our newly formed S&ES Enterprise Sourcing Business Engagement team supports stakeholders across all regions with their main focus being on core spend categories such as Capital projects, Facilities, Supplies and Services and Energy, Supply Chain, Digital and Temporary Labour and others.

The Business Engagement Sr.

Associate role will be responsible for local stakeholder management & supplier performance management and responsible for supporting local/markets stakeholders by engaging in key internal or external stakeholder discussions and or routing requests to S&ES team members, and for managing tactical supplier performance process & supplier development programs to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Local Stakeholder Management
Contribute to implementing sourcing strategies that support business objectives and deliver value
Support Sourcing strategies that align with company goals and objectives based on business requirements received from internal stakeholders, including business leaders and crossfunctional teams
Support the execution of initiatives that optimize costs through local sourcing
Identify and evaluate local suppliers, negotiate favorable pricing, and track cost savings achieved
Contribute to the initiatives on process improvement to achieve cost savings, increased productivity, and enhanced supplier performance
Perform analysis of spend data to identify cost savings opportunities and develop strategies to optimize procurement processes
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards
Support supplier performance process to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of bachelor's degree in Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
Knowledge of working on crossfunctional projects
Ability to coordinate business operations, client engagement and customer relationship management
Ability to support collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as operations, finance, and legal teams, to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
Experience in identification of local suppliers, supporting negotiation for favorable pricing, and tracking cost savings
Ability to build material for presenting to executive leadership
Experience in developing and maintaining documentation related to procurement activities, including supplier contracts, purchase orders, and delivery reports
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Comfortable operating in environment with ambiguity & changing market conditions
Effective communications skills
Business English required, fluent in Dutch

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications preferred: CPSM, CPM, PMP, MCIP
Awareness of business & S&ES strategic priorities
Basic knowledge of the supplier landscape (by category as relevant)
Basic knowledge of procurement practices & supplier evaluation methodologies
Knowledge of analytical skills and comfort with standard analytical methods and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access), proficiency in PowerPoint, and other relevant software
Basic understanding of TPRM Knowledge Experience
Typical Years of Experience:3+ years of experience in sourcing & procurement (1+ yrs for MBA/MS)
Experience in monitoring supplier performance, tracking metrics, quality, and compliance
Experience of conducting market research to identify potential suppliers
Experience of maintaining accurate procurement records and documentation
Experience in tracking supplier SLA compliance
