Main purpose of the job
The Executive Housekeeper is a senior management role responsible for overseeing and managing the housekeeping operations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction. The Executive Housekeeper leads a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient daily operations and adherence to cleanliness standards.

Rooms Division Manager / General Manager

Internal communication with and support other areas of the team

  • Housekeeping Operations
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the housekeeping department.
  • Ensure cleanliness, order, and aesthetic appeal in all areas of the hotel.
  • Staff Management
  • Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and housekeeping supervisors.
  • Schedule and organize staff duties to meet occupancy and guest service requirements.
  • Quality Control
  • Implement and maintain high cleaning standards throughout the hotel.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all rooms and public areas meet or exceed cleanliness expectations.
  • Inventory and Supplies
  • Manage housekeeping supplies, including linens, cleaning products and amenities.
  • Monitor inventory levels, place supplies, and ensure costeffective stock management.
  • Finance Management
  • Develop and manage the Housekeeping Management, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Implement costcontrol measures while maintaining service quality.
  • Training and Development
  • Conduct training programs for housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Guest Satisfaction
  • Address guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest experience.
  • Health and Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
  • Implement and enforce proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, including roomstatus reports and maintenance requests.
  • Provide regular reports to the management team on housekeeping performance and key metrics.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or relevant field.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hotel industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping management software.
  • English and French in word and writing; Dutch or German is considered as a plus.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary:
From €4.300,00 per month
