Who we are

The mission of the Global Process Engineering team within GSK Drug Product - Technical Research and Development group is to deliver and transfer stable vaccine formulations and robust secondary operations processes to the clinical and manufacturing sites within GSK Vaccines network and CDMOs.

The Global Process Engineering is a global team based in Italy and Belgium with a large expertise in secondary operations development.

This position will be based in Rixensart (Belgium).

In this position, you will participate in the development of fill and finish processes for vaccine drug product. Your responsibilities
Let's start by seeing if you are trilled about the following activities and responsabilities:

Participate to product transfer for new or existing products and give guidance to the other team members.
You will use mathematical modeling (state of the art or newly developed modeling) for process development/optimization as well as for process throubleshooting.
You will work in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team. You will coach and train colleagues, including scientific coaching, oversee laboratory activites, review of documentation, doublecheck of data integrity.
You will present scientific data within Technical Development teams or in Technical taskforces. You will author and review technical protocols and reports in support of various project development stages.

Why you?

As a minimum, you meet the following requirements:_
PhD in Chemical, Pharmaceutical or Bio-Engineering, Biotechnology or equivalent scientific/engineering discupline + 4 or 5 years of relevant academic/industrial experience acquired in industrial/academic environment. Otherwise, 10 years of equivalent professional experience;
Experience in pharmaceutical or biological process/product development from early stages through the transfer at GMP/manufacturing scale is a must;
Indepth understanding of at least one secondary operation (such as mixing, filtration, filling, freezedrying, spraydrying ) is a must. Knowledge in modelisation of those operations is an asset.
Teamwork attitude, collaborative approach, experience in coaching less expert colleagues is a must. Excellent English communicator, French is a plus.
