With a clientele spanning more than 900 universities and companies globally, we are poised for further expansion. To fuel this growth, we are actively seeking motivated engineers to join our dynamic team.

    What you will do

    Join our dynamic multidisciplinary foundry support team, the crucial interface between cutting-edge chip foundries and our valued customers. From the inception of design to the final tape-out phase, we are there to answer any technical queries related to technology, libraries, and verification decks.

    In this role:

  • You will lead a high-performing team by : Managing and leading a diverse, multicultural team of ASIC Foundry Support Engineers, and fostering a positive climate where every team member thrives and delivers their best. Facilitating collaboration within the team and between other -link teams. Owning all the HR processes of a Team Leader at imec. Ensuring your team is trained sufficiently to provide quality customer support.
  • You are our customer interface and our foundry interface :You will act as the key liaison between world-class chip foundries and our customers, providing support to universities, startups, SMEs and system houses throughout the design process, and guiding them on all technical aspects of their ASIC designs in a customer-focused manner.
  • You will provide technical guidance by :Offering worldwide customers chip design guidelines, design rules, libraries, and design kits. Facilitating their installation and usage, particularly during the chip design phase. Using your deep knowledge of foundry technologies to answer customer questions.
  • You will use advanced electronic design automation software : Using these tools, you will investigate test cases and provide state-of-the-art support to our customers.
  • You will collaborate with our sales team by : Assisting the sales team in technical discussions with customers.Leveraging your expertise to enhance the overall customer experience.

    Who you are

  • You hold a Master's degree or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • You possess leadership and coaching skills. You demonstrate effective people management skills, coaching team members in handling complex technical questions in a customer-centered manner.
  • You possess hands-on experience in analog and/or digital chip design.
  • You exhibit a deep understanding of chip-fabrication and the ability to correlate device physics with device performance.
  • You proactively engage in customer support, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a penchant for taking initiative.
  • Having experience with CAD support to (a) chip design team(s) is a definite plus.
  • You are proficient in both written and oral English.
