As a Senior Finance Officer at DESelect, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, process improvement, maintaining accurate records, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

You will work closely with the CEO, ExCo and other stakeholders to ensure financial stability and compliance.
This position is based out of Antwerp, Berchem.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment collection, and vendor management.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decisionmaking, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including tax requirements, GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and internal policies.
Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and manage cash balances to optimize liquidity and financial performance.
Financial Systems: Utilize financial software and systems to maintain accurate records and streamline financial processes.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in financial operations and implement efficient solutions.

Requirements:

Higher degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Excellent written and verbal skills in Dutch and English
Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the SaaS industry (a minimum of 5 years preferred).
Experience with Transfer Pricing (TP) is a plus
Experience with doing a US Tax Return is a plus (do note that our main tax return happens in our Belgian entity)
You will take ownership of our Finance processes and systems, which may include migrating tools.
Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and standards.
Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Exact, Excel, and ERP systems.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Optional Skills:

Certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
Experience with financial modelling and forecasting.
Knowledge of SaaS metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Familiarity with subscriptionbased revenue models and billing processes.
