We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Policy team and scale-up our activities on EU solar manufacturing.


This position is a perfect opportunity for an ambitious and talented individual to work in a continuously evolving market, develop deep knowledge of solar PV technology and renewables, while strengthening public affairs and policy skills within an award winning advocacy association.


Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Regulatory Affairs, you will:

  • Support SolarPower Europe's expertise on energy market dynamics and energy project and corporate finance;
  • Support Head of Regulatory Affairs in running internal policy workstreams with the SPE membership covering energy markets & investment in the context of electricity market reform;
  • Prepare market and policy analysis on solar PV financing on a regular basis, covering latest dynamics in electricity markets, Power Purchase Agreements and public tenders, for members, the management team, external stakeholders and journalists;
  • Support Head of Regulatory Affairs in steering the Resource platform, the advocacy positions and the annual Resource event;
  • Define and implement advocacy strategies to promote our positions by interacting with EU decision makers and stakeholders;
  • Create, maintain and extend over time a network of contacts in the Brussels EU policy community;
  • Ensure external representation of our positions by attending and speaking at workshops and conferences;
  • Contribute to the content of SolarPower Europe's communication channels e.g. newsletter, social media and website; and
  • Perform any other tasks or duties required of the role as appropriate.

Profile:


  • You have a Masters Degree in a relevant discipline (Economics, Finance, Energy and Climate Economics) and a track record of 13 years of relevant work experience in energy finance;
  • You have a passion for the energy transition and for renewable energy;
  • You are hardworking, resultoriented and able to provide creative and simple solutions to complex issues;
  • You have strong analytical skills and deliver evidencebased and highquality content, as well as strategic insights;
  • You are a good communicator and are able to express ideas in a clear and concise manner, in both written and oral forms;
  • You can help coordinate multistakeholder projects;
  • You are fluent in English and at least one other EU language Profile; and
  • You are a team player and can work under time pressure.
Some international travel within Europe will be required.
