Job Description:


  • This role requires a fluent level of Dutch & English.
  • The primary location is Mechelen, BEL.

Your mission
As a Financial Analyst you are a value added partner to the Benelux commercial finance team & 360° organization (sales, customer service, supply chain, asset management, country management), by:

  • Undertaking the execution of Finance activities in the region to guide the Commercial teams
  • Driving the delivery of Commercial decision support outputs to maintain internal service levels
  • Supporting and guiding the local organization in all Finance Activities, including contract renewals and finance evaluation of new opportunities
  • Conducts Finance activities within Local & central teams, focused on executing standard processes based on prescribed service levels to support local and central teams on financial activities

Your Responsibilities

Modelling:

  • Own and keep upto date pricing models and policies for the dedicated market
  • Modelling & costing of commercial data for specific business prospects
  • Delegated approval of small to medium business cases
  • Creating financial models for nonstandard business cases in collaboration with Finance Business Partner
  • Followup nonstandard pricing/contracts

Analysis:

  • Responsible for commercial evaluation of new and existing contracts, customer profitability and pricing recommendations
  • Consideration, evaluation and critique of commercial proposals and preparation of pricing quotations
  • Support management decision making through the extraction, analysis, modelling and presentation of commercial data for business proposals
  • Supports Management & Sales to identify potential opportunities, risks and challenges

Monthly, quarterly, annual actions:

  • Analysis monthly sales figures
  • Prepare monthly management reporting packages per product & country with relevant management commentary
  • Drive the production of standard and adhoc Finance reports to serve customers and fulfil internal service levels
  • Drive Monthend; Forecast and Budget activities to guide local organizations and lead actions to achieve country performance and objectives.

Your profile

  • 5+ years of Finance experience preferably for complex multinational businesses, with Commercial and Supply Chain Finance expertise.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable the effective management of stakeholders
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in an independent, proactive role
  • Commercial acumen with demonstrated strength in solving both structured and unstructured problems
  • Experience of presenting to senior management level
  • Able to work with remote Management and in a matrix organization.
  • Established financial, commercial and strategic analysis skill Base level financial modeling skills (DCF Analysis, scenario analysis, business case development, business valuations, and operational modelling) Advanced Word / Excel / PowerPoint skills.
