Role Overview
As a business developer you will
take the lead in adding new logos to our client portfolio. You will identify the appropriate business scenarios that enable prospects to drive meaningful and significant innovation. You'll inspire them and stimulate them to implement
smart & sustainable products.
You will work closely with our creative and technical teams to develop tailored solutions that meet the prospect's needs.


Key responsibilities
- **Lead generation** (In close collaboration with Marketing)

  • Attendance of industry specific events
  • Followup on marketing leads
  • Cold calling
  • Instinctively
    spot opportunities to grow your prospect's business
  • Working together with the project/presales team to establish a compelling proposal which is easy to say 'yes' to
  • Deliver topnotch sales presentations that are able to convince all stakeholders involved in the decisiontaking.

Manage the expectations of your prospects and existing customers

  • Focus on
    closing the deal with respect for the customer's timing and budget
  • Negotiation of
    full service cycle including SLA
  • Stay uptodate with industry trends, emerging technologies and market changes to identify growth opportunities

Qualifications

  • You have advanced negotiation and communication skills, with a focus on customer interaction
  • You understand the sales velocity of your pipeline and know how to improve it
  • You are able to detect clients' needs from a business point of view
  • You have a profound interest in industry specific challenges, related to either FMCG & Durables, or Maritimes & Energy or Building & Technology
  • You have affinity with sustainability, you look for business opportunities that are good for peopleplanetprofit
  • You are strong in documenting sales related activities
  • You have good planning skills and time management is one of your talents
  • You hold solid presentation skills
  • You have a thorough understanding of the business, combining knowledge of hardware, software and data
  • You have Clevel interaction experience (C, C1)
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales position
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch/English. knowledge of French is a big asset
  • Strong existing network in Belgian market or abroad is a benefit
  • Proven track record of successful business development in a specific industry, ideally one of the aboves
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Resultoriented mindset with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • A passion for innovation and a keen interest in emerging technologies: a strong understanding of digital and physical product design and development
