The Role

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner and Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead to drive forward the implementation and adoption of Event Driven Architecture (EDA) in Atlas Copco Compressor Technique.

The EDA Center of Excellence is a mixed community of business and technical experts and peers, and will steer CT towards real-time integrated business processes.

Over time, the EDA platform will evolve into the central nervous system of our organization, enabling agility in a continuously changing business context.

At the core of EDA, there is a streaming integration platform, which enables asynchronous business process integration through microservices and immutable events.

As the EDA Center of Excellence lead:

You will align with business and IT stakeholders and in line with CT business strategy and goals
You will define and mature the EDA vision, strategy, governance, standards, guidelines and best practices.
You will the evangelize the EDA vision to the whole CT organization
You will be the central point of contact for all EDA related matters

As the EDA Product owner:

You will steer the CoE team in building, operating and maintaining the foundational event driven integration platform
You will manage and prioritize the EDA backlog in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
You will plan agile sprints in collaboration with your team members.
You will identify and prioritize EDA opportunities, and execute related PoC's and initiatives together with the team
You will measure and track the effectiveness of EDA initiatives.
You will ensure that EDA standards are practiced across the organization.

You have proven experience in MACH and Event Driven architectures and related technologies (eg. Kafka,...)
You have proven experience in scrum and agile methodologies
You have very strong analytical skills and are able to deal with incomplete information and are able to assess related risk
You have an excellent level of English
You have a proactive attitude and always strive for continuous improvement.
You are a real team player, able to motivate people.
You are willing to travel occasionally

You will join a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary and international team in a challenging and very dynamic environment.

You will become part of CT-IS Architecture team (Compressor Technique - Information Services), which delivers services to the Compressor Technique business area of Atlas Copco.

The department mainly operates from the headquarters in Antwerp (Belgium), with teams in US, Czech Republic, India, and China.
