RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Technical Reviewer assesses the certification dossier and verifies if all technical requirements for certification are met

Specifically:

  • Specify testing, sampling, evaluation, and documentation requirements for product certification as required by the applicable standard requirements, certification policies, and sound scientific principles
  • Perform routine and complex product design and formulation reviews in support of product certification testing
  • Evaluate changes to certified products and determine engineering or material extraction testing requirements
  • Design test plans (protocols) that direct laboratory testing in order to determine compliance to applicable standard
  • Review and determine compliance of test results
  • Make and document technical decisions based on standard requirements, data analysis, and sound scientific principles
  • Evaluate root cause, corrective action, and preventative action in order to resolve noncompliances

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required
  • Bachelor's degree in natural or physical sciences, environmental health, food technology or engineering
  • High level of mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Affinity with international technical standards
  • Demonstrated experience in problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Collegelevel coursework in inorganic and organic chemistry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional level English language
Preferred

  • Master's degree in natural or physical sciences, environmental health, food technology or engineering
  • Two (2) or more years of related experience
  • Experience in conducting and/or evaluating chemistry and/or toxicology studies
  • Working knowledge of European Drinking Water standards (i.e. German UBA guidelines for products and materials in contact with drinking water)
  • Working knowledge of German language
