RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Reviewer assesses the certification dossier and verifies if all technical requirements for certification are met

Specifically:

Specify testing, sampling, evaluation, and documentation requirements for product certification as required by the applicable standard requirements, certification policies, and sound scientific principles
Perform routine and complex product design and formulation reviews in support of product certification testing
Evaluate changes to certified products and determine engineering or material extraction testing requirements
Design test plans (protocols) that direct laboratory testing in order to determine compliance to applicable standard
Review and determine compliance of test results
Make and document technical decisions based on standard requirements, data analysis, and sound scientific principles
Evaluate root cause, corrective action, and preventative action in order to resolve noncompliances

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
Bachelor's degree in natural or physical sciences, environmental health, food technology or engineering
High level of mechanical and technical aptitude
Affinity with international technical standards
Demonstrated experience in problem solving and analytical thinking
Collegelevel coursework in inorganic and organic chemistry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional level English language

Preferred

Master's degree in natural or physical sciences, environmental health, food technology or engineering
Two (2) or more years of related experience
Experience in conducting and/or evaluating chemistry and/or toxicology studies
Working knowledge of European Drinking Water standards (i.e. German UBA guidelines for products and materials in contact with drinking water)
Working knowledge of German language
