About the Role- The Global Gourmet Technical Project Lead is responsible for the OTIF end-to-end management of strategic and complex projects according to the principles of project management. In close collaboration with the marketing owner who defines and brings the opportunity, the technical project lead runs the project in a structured way and in an intense collaboration with multiple departments to deliver the project on time in full, first time right. Through his/her activities and under his/her leadership, the Global Gourmet Technical Project Lead ensures an efficient new product development flow and strives to maximize the commercial success of innovations, renovations, and assortment changes. Efficient and effective stakeholder management and drive to deliver are crucial to the role.- Next to innovation projects feeding the brand portfolio, also cross-brand projects (e.g. strategic packaging projects, technical capability projects, portfolio changes linked to regulatory-driven changes) are in scope for the role.- In this global role, you directly contribute to shaping the future Gourmet product portfolio in various markets, you closely work together with (brand/segment) marketing and you interact with all regions. You will link with all functions (R&D, QA, operations, regulatory, pricing, supply chain, master data) in the company and connect the dots.- You will grow the business, but surely also you will grow yourself through this challenging and exciting function. And last but not least, you will be part of the gourmet community, in close interaction with the chefs and Academies.
Key Responsibilities Include

  • Endtoend project management of strategic and complex gourmet innovation projects:
  • Organization, together with the marketing owner of the project, of the multifunctional kick-off meeting for clear goal setting, team setup, risk assessment, milestones plan, and planning, all leading to a solid project charter.
  • Building and coordinating a crossfunctional project team (Marketing, R&D product, R&D packaging, QA, operations, regulatory, pricing, supply chain, master data )
  • Manage the project through the different stages of the innovation funnel, meaning the feasibility, capability, and launch phase, fully addressing postlaunch evaluation as well. Coordination of all actions and followup of deliverables and planning to reach OTIF delivery of projects.
  • Risk management & mitigation and good communication with team members and stakeholders is key. Be responsible for the bidirectional project information flow between the project team and the key stakeholders; prepare and present, together with the marketing owner, the project status updates during the project steering committee meetings.
  • Prepare for project updates in the stakeholder meetings like Quarterly Brand Meetings (QBM),OSCO/R&D meetings, and MB PIM meetings.
  • Contribute to filling the consumerdriven gourmet innovation funnel with impactful new ideas, with a total volume and value contributing to the overall gourmet growth plan. These projects follow a stage gate decision process and therefore are agreed upon by and relevant to the global business.
  • Formulate and collect the business requirements for CAPEX proposals (where relevant), in collaboration with the brand marketing team (business case) and finance
  • Provide input into the Gourmet R&D strategy for the global and local gourmet brands

About You

  • Master of Science Degree (Food Technology, Food Engineering, Food Science), or likewise through expertise or experience
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant expertise in the food industry
  • 5 to 7 years of project management skills, preferably in a multistakeholder environment
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office and project management tools
  • Fluent in English, good knowledge of French
  • SAP is a plus
  • Good networker and team player
  • Good stakeholder management, ability to collaborate crossfunctional and regional
  • Entrepreneurial and handson
