Working in Commercial, Portfolio and Regulatory unit in Hydrogen:
The Commercial, Portfolio and Regulatory unit in the hydrogen organization is a growing team of ~10 employees.

We will ensure that Statkraft is able to assess and select the right hydrogen projects, find the right partners and acquisition opportunities to achieve our hydrogen ambitions, deliver optimal solutions for our hydrogen customers, and have the knowledge of the hydrogen market and regulation to make the right decisions and influence our environment.

The team will work in close cooperation with the asset owners and will in many cases work as an integrated part of the hydrogen project development teams.

We will work closely together with all parts of Statkraft involved in hydrogen development.

Our primary geographic focus will be where we have dedicated hydrogen asset owner teams (Nordics, UK, Germany, Netherlands), but we will also provide support and sparring for new markets for Statkraft hydrogen activities such as the international markets India, Brazil and Chile.


Job Description:

As a (senior) advisor regulatory and public affairs, your responsibilities will involve some or all of the following responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing, maintaining and promoting Statkraft's position on hydrogen
  • Closely monitor hydrogen regulatory developments in EU and at a high level the main global developments of hydrogen regulation, to identify new hydrogen business opportunities for Statkraft and risks to Statkraft's existing hydrogen project pipeline
  • Contribute to and influence the development of EU regulation on hydrogen, in close cooperation with Statkraft regulatory and public affairs resources on the ground in Brussels. This will include to contribute to Statkraft's dialog with national authorities, including advocating suitable policy mechanisms.
  • Ensure latest regulatory insights are applied in projects (e.g. in valuations and in investment decisions)
  • Advise and work closely with representatives of Statkraft top management on hydrogen topics, e.g. in preparing speeches, preparing toplevel meetings between Statkraft and key stakeholders, etc.
  • Perform analyses of the regulatory situation and development in potential new markets as needed

Qualifications:


We look for experienced advisor regulatory and public affairs with the essential skills to deliver on the role's responsibilities and help build our new hydrogen business in Statkraft.


That includes:

  • Master's degree in economics, politics, law or equivalent
  • Relevant experience, preferably from the energy sector, including government agencies
  • Understanding of the Nordic/European power markets and its regulations. An understand if global energy markets and dynamics is also beneficial.
  • Ability to efficiently and powerfully communicate with and influence a wide array of stakeholders
  • Strong teamplayer with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create relations internally and externally
  • Ability to take large amount of information and condense it into clear, actionable insights
  • Ability to see the big picture, but also deep dive into specifics when needed
  • Structured and selfdriven, ability to run projects is beneficial
  • Strong command of Norwegian and English, both verbally and written
