At SNCB/NMBS we want to become data-driven. We strive to make data a shared asset giving all stakeholders a common view of the company.

We provide users with the tools they need to analyse and explore data, and generate insights that improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

As Project Manager within our Data & Analytics team, you play an instrumental role in the realization of this vision by managing a number of projects related to the delivery of our data & analytics platforms, data assets and data products.

Key responsabilities:

Lead project delivery from beginning to end;
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders;
Develop fullscale project plans and associated communications documents following the company's standard;
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary as per defined process;
Ensure that project meets its deliverables in agreed schedule, as per the scope, within stipulated budget and as per the quality standards;
Effectively communicate project expectations to team lead and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion;
Ensure project or service scope and deliverables are defined and agreed with all relevant parties;
Liaise with business and IT Teams on an ongoing basis;
Diagnose and evaluate potential risks and issues throughout the project and execute appropriate plans to mitigate them. Reports regularly to the Team Lead and Stakeholders with regard to risks
5 + years relevant experience with project management
Strong affinity with IT and its complexity
Experience in delivery of project in the Data & Analytics area

Demonstrated "can do" work ethic coupled with effective time management and ability to overcome ambiguously or underdefined problems
Knowledge of Agile delivery methodology and SAFe (Essentials) are considered an asset
PM2 and/or PMBOK knowledge are preferred. Prince2, qualifications are an asset; ITIL Certification. A Project Methodology Certification is a MUST.
Knowledge of the Azure data stack and SAP and BW4 is a plus
Knowledge of train planning, passenger transport, train maintenance, HR, Finance, Marketing & Sales processes is a plus
Can facilitate Steerco, project update meetings and guide resources.
Possesses the ability to communicate, present and produce documentation on various levels for differing audiences
Proficient in Dutch or French, and English.
Must have legal authorisation to work in Belgium.
Able to work in hybrid work regime: remotely and on site
