Based at the ENGIE Tower,

Brussels, we are currently looking for a Project Manager for the

Backend Nuclear Fuel Cycle department.


As Project Manager, you are reporting directly to the Manager of the Backend Nuclear Fuel Cycle Department and will reinforce the team by giving technical assistance to several projects.


You are among others responsible for managing the following activities- supplies and services contracts for spent fuel management- assisting in technical analyses and negotiations of contracts with domestic and foreign providers related to spent fuel management ensure their technical follow-up, respect of planning and budgetary supervision, aligning the stakeholders expectations management of long-term on-site spent fuel projects- assisting in the setting up and monitoring of the technical aspects of various projects to ensure the long-term management of spent fuel on site ensure the long-term planning and the conformity of these projects with the expectations of all stakeholders (ENGIE Electrabel, authorities)
You possess the following skills & competences- you have a university degree in engineering and a professional background in a nuclear related environment you have economical skills, with experience in project management you are precise and well organized in your work, dynamic and assertive you are ready to work in a small team you are ready to work in a multi-relational environment including international suppliers, regulatory authorities, nuclear power plant representatives you are multilingual with excellent writing skills in English and French or DutchSynatom - a 100% subsidiary of ENGIE Electrabel - is responsible for the management of the entire fuel cycle for the Belgian nuclear power plants. Synatom answers for the purchase of uranium to the supply of enriched uranium for the production of fuel assemblies. Synatom also stands for the management of spent fuel, from its unloading from the reactor pools until its transfer for final disposal. Since 2003, Synatom has been appointed by law as manager for the nuclear provisions.
