  • As a Group Fleet Director at Sarens you carry the end responsibility for the Groupwide maintenance strategy, organization, people, processes and the economical results related to the maintenance of all the Sarens Equipment worldwide. The technical equipment contains large, impressive machines like cranes, SPMT's, trailers, trucks etc. but also supporting equipment such as slings, shacklesA challenging job where you combine strategic thinking exercises on a global level with more operational daytoday tasks. A wide range of fascinating equipment, variety, an international work field and the necessary autonomy that gives you the freedom to successfully organize things your way as the Fleet Expert._

We're searching for an experienced Group Fleet Director. As our Fleet Director you'll be responsible for ensuring all equipment is kept in good operating conditions

  • Your job as a Group Fleet Director in a nutshell:_
  • Creating and communicating actionable business plans to meet the KPI's.
  • Developing and optimizing the necessary work structures, processes and policies, controlling the implementation of it and organizing corrective measures if needed.
  • Daytoday management and ad hoc problem solving.
  • Keeping the equipment in excellent condition (technically and aesthetically) through a structured and professional approach of preventive and predictive maintenance and quick and qualitative repairs. Checking that the necessary documentation and certification is also in order.
  • Preparing and setting up the annual budget for the fleet department and financial followup afterwards (budget, KPI's, purchasements, financial insights ).
  • Ensuring and motivating everyone to work safely and according to the Sarens' SHEQ standards.
  • Managing, motivating and coaching the coworkers of the entire fleet organization that consist of 500 people globally.
  • Checking regularly the satisfactions of employees, internal and external stakeholders, as well as the quality of equipment. Using this information to define and execute action plans to improve the organization on a continuous basis.

project management abilities and

solution-oriented attitude enable you to implement the appropriate work structures and processes to accomplish the goals. You build

strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders through

authenticity and

integrity, by

taking responsibility,

communicating clear and by ensuring

consistency between agreements and actions. You remain

calm in difficult circumstances and take

cost

conscious decisions based on facts and figures. You have the ability to bring

organizational stability in rapidly changing environments. As a born

People Manager you inspire and coach people to excel and foster a sense of ownership to their work.

Together with your team you get the things done

  • The profile requirements:_
-
Technical Master's Degree (e.g. civil engineering, industrial engineering ).
-
Thorough experience in a similar position as Fleet Director, ideally gained in the heavy equipment business or broader in the construction industry.
Technical knowledge and interest is indispensable.

  • Excellent knowledge of
    English (oral and written). Knowledge of
    Dutch or other languages are an asset.
  • Wiling to relocate to
    Wolvertem (Belgium) and
    travel frequently (4050%) worldwide.
