For this Bosch Thermotechnology applies highly efficient technologies which in many cases use renewable energies and make a significant contribution to implementing the energy transition.


Bosch Thermotechnology, based in Wetzlar and Wernau/Stuttgart, manufactures in more than 120 engineering locations in in Europe, America and Asia and achieved sales of 5.5 billion euros in 2018.

The product portfolio ranges from floor-standing and wall-hung gas and oil boilers and water heaters to solar thermal systems, heat pumps for heating and cooling and large-scale commercial and industrial systems such as industrial boilers, CHP and waste heat recovery systems for industrial processes.


The trainee will focus on following regulatory and policy developments (in particular but not restricted to the Green Deal and the Fit for 55 package, specifically the energy efficiency directive, the renewable energy directive, the ecodesign review, the F-gas regulation, the gas package and energy performance of buildings directive review), and will learn how to draft clear and concise briefing notes which will be expected regularly.


You will be expected to help with monitoring stakeholders' activities and learn how to identify the most important elements to report.

You will also work in close contact with director and with other experts as required.

You will be expected to attend/follow events and report back on main takeaways and also support on communications or events may be required.


Qualifications:


  • You have a background in
-
European studies or
-
political science/economics/law with an interest in the
-
EU. Excellent command of
-
English (C1 +) is required with
-
German as asset; additional language(s) is/are a plus. Proactive and problem solver, creative thinking encouraged. Interest in the energy sector/energy transition is necessary, previous experience in relevant field is an asset. You are a EU citizen or eligible to work in Belgium.


Additional Information:


If you are a student enrolled in a Belgian University/College and you have to do a mandatory internship you will be granted travel reimbursement and meal vouchers.


If you are a student enrolled in a University/College outside of Belgium (or if you are available for a voluntary internship outside a university curriculum) you will be granted an allowance of € 977,50/month.

  • In case that you need to do a mandatory internship, your University/College must be located in a member state of the EU.
