We are recruiting a Business Unit Manager for our transport BU INFRA, with which we are market leader in the Benelux.

We rise to every challenge by using our highly qualified staff, our specialised fleet of vehicles and our strong regional presence in Belgium and the Netherlands (4 sites:
Hechtel-Eksel (B), Moorslede (B), Twello (Nl) and Aste (Nl)).

Active in utility, rent&event, traditional building materials & prefab (or modular) construction, we generate a turnover of €75milj with our own fleet of 385 vehicles.

Good cost control, further strategic anchoring within the segment as well as geographical growth at home and abroad (Germany) are our ambitions.

YOUR CHALLENGES
In the role of Business Unit Manager, you are responsible for several transport entities at home and abroad. You hold a key position within an environment of transport customers, mainly active in the construction sector.

By translating your vision into concrete objectives, you act as final financial, operational and commercial manager with regard to the results and successes of this business unit.

What does this mean in concrete terms?

Based on your logistics expertise and strategic insight, you are ultimately responsible for drawing up the strategic business unit annual plan. You take into account the returns and optimisations within the Business Unit and know how to translate these into action plans to implement them.
Building longterm relationships with our customers is your priority. Expanding your network and strengthening your own market position with existing customers is your priority.
As a real people manager, you lead a team of Managers in which you act as facilitator and coach in order to achieve personal and professional growth.
Furthermore, you attach great importance to innovation and sustainable development, which you know how to convey to the various layers inside and outside your operations.
Finally, as Business Unit Manager your responsibilities include conducting budget meetings, motivating investment proposals, determining the financial feasibility of investments, drawing up an annual budget with regard to turnover, manpower, gross and nett profit.

As Business Unit Manager, you are the strategic thinker who knows how to translate organisational objectives into the operational structure.
