THE ROLE
As a Payroll Specialist at Alight you will be part of our operational team.

The team of specialists is responsible for ensuring that we are skilled and knowledgeable in meeting our client(s) deadlines, whilst also providing the best service to our clients and delivering functional and technical expertise and support.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily functional support and expertise to the
    operational team
- to support the successful delivery of payrolls and post payroll declarations
- to support and help on System Maintenance Testing
- to update, maintain and enforce the use of any process documentation
- to help with the resolution of Technical/Functional issues and ensuring all system issues/defects are reported correctly
- to manage the legislation roadmap and ensure the team is upskilled in upcoming legal changes
- to support on

Year End Activities:

  • Provide daily support to your
    portfolio of client(s)
- to be the main point for your client(s)
- to ensure all information is accurate and provided on time
- to be able to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential information
- to proactively identify upsell opportunities
- to support our management with the resolution of client escalations
- to build good relationships with all lines of businesses where appropriate

  • Provide ad hoc support and advice to
    our company
- to provide support and guidance for implementations and go lives
- to support the review of the Statement of Works before it is shared with the Client to ensure its fit for purpose
- to work with other teams to implement automation, innovation and any continuous improvement programs
- to upskill and develop team members through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfil their role


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years relevant experience administering Payroll in an HR consulting, HR Outsourcing or Corporate environment
  • Expert knowledge on payroll processes, practices and associated legislation
  • Strong knowledge of the various inputs and outputs such as third party interfaces, timekeeping, tax filing/compliance, benefits and other key areas that integrate with payroll
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to support a global and fast paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Selfmotivated and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment, as well as independently while adhering to processes and procedures
