Access to Medicines and Healthcare - Traineeship**
Background
EPHA works to improve health and strengthen the voice of public health in Europe. EPHA's work on the healthcare delivery cluster focuses on access to healthcare and medicines.

It promotes transparency, accountability, and the public interest in the field of pharmaceuticals and aims to guarantee better and affordable medicines and healthcare for Europe.

EPHA also hosts the European Alliance for Responsible R&D and Affordable Medicines, a civil society coalition gathering consumer, patient and public health organisations calling for the creation of an R&D system that is driven by public health needs and delivers medicines that are universally accessible and affordable.


We are looking for a master's student or graduate who wishes to deepen their knowledge of EU policies particularly in the area of access to medicines.

Ideally, an intern should be able to commit to at least a 6-month placement.


Key responsibilities

  • Support EPHA's work on access to medicines and healthcare, including the work of the European Alliance for Responsible R&D and Affordable Medicines;
  • Organise or support the organization of meetings, workshops and webinars;
  • Manage or support communication activities (social media, website, press releases);
  • Support policy and research work;
  • Support drafting of articles, statements, letters and input for consultations;
  • Prepare posts for and running social media campaigns;
  • Support activities related to EPHA's Access to Medicines advocacy work;
  • MSc student/graduate, preferably but not necessarily in an area related to (public) policy, advocacy, public health, law, economics or social studies;
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written, to present and produce highquality written outputs;
  • Strong project management/organisational skills to keep the overview of tasks and prioritise;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Interest in access to medicines is a plus.

  • Fulltime position
  • Minimum duration for traineeship: 6 months
  • Paid traineeship under Convention d'immersion professionnelle (CIP) benefit of euros/month
