This position is in Cargill's food ingredients and bio-industrial business, where we anticipate trends around taste, nutrition and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies.


Job Purpose and Impact:

The Gourmet business in Cargill serves customers in the artisanal and semi-industrial channels. We develop sweet products and solutions towards the bakery, confectionery, and ice-cream categories. The Gourmet Business Development Manager will build strategic capabilities and build sales strategies for new regions, channels, and portfolio. You will work in close partnership with customers and the Gourmet sales team.

In this role, you will lead broader go to market initiatives, identify new business opportunities and commercial partnerships to grow the Gourmet revenue in EMEA region.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Develop, influence, and oversee highly complex business level sales strategies to achieve revenue and traction targets.
  • Build, monitor and revise lead generation plans to develop substantive sales opportunities.
  • Identify and assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, services and solutions.
  • Partner collaboratively with leadership to develop, implement and handle sales programs across various channels (including online), work closely with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and market needs and collaborate with business teams to negotiate and close contracts.
  • For new segments and channels, drive the design, implementation, and execution of sales processes, including process, data and technology deployment, adoption and effectiveness in collaboration with the Gourmet Sales Leader.
  • Create business development strategies and annual business development plans to reach business objectives and revenue.
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

  • Sales / business development experience with artisanal / semiindustrial channels
  • Growth mindset

  • A drive to seek new business
