We are seeking a Product Owner in Brussels to join a fast-growing and innovative startup to fully manage their innovative product.

Challenge tackles by the company and product you will be responsible for:
Did you know that every year, beyond 100 million non-EU residents traveling to the EU purchase billions of euros in reclaimable tax? And that only a fraction being refunded

Since its start in 2017, our client tackles this problem by providing an innovative tax-free shopping mobile app. The app is already used by users.

It makes it easy for travelers to get a 20% tax refund on their shopping in France, Spain, Belgium, and soon in the rest of Europe.

Hundreds of thousands of euros are refunded monthly thanks to it.

Thought the app, travelers can easily claim tax refunds wherever they shop by simply uploading pictures of their purchase invoices.

Your role will be to make sure that users feel that their refund is frictionless and almost magical.

This fintech is well funded and ready to accelerate its growth. You will work in an international team of 20 people, located in Brussels, France, and China.


Your mission, should you choose to accept it...

As the Product Owner of the company, you define a comprehensive product development strategy and plan of the product based on users feedback and needs, regulation, and internal ideas.

You will be responsible for driving its execution.

You will lead, develop and build a team of product managers and business analysts, partnering with other teams such as marketing, operations, customer support and engineering.

Your goal is to help the team deliver a delightful customer experience that scales globally with business growth. You will help shape not only the strategy and the product, but also the company and culture.

Let's dig more in your responsibilities:

• Strategically lead and develop the product management by developing new and innovative features and services, manage internal roadmap, prioritizing developments, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Deeply understand customer needs by analyzing the market, using customer insights and spending time with the marketing, customer support and engineering teams to take the lead in developing and implementing a product portfolio and roadmap.
• Insure to deliver the best product experience to users.
• Figure out the vision and goals of the team, how to measure them and how to set objectives and key results you'll inspire the team and define the product direction together with them.
• Lead, grow and build the team needed for the product management function, covering topics such as customer needs and behavior analysis, highimpact opportunities' assessment, product development prioritization and roadmap rollout coordination.
• Find ways to do the above in a fast, scalable, delightful, and costefficient way.

About your skills

• 3+ years of experience as Product Owner / Head of product, preferably with combined exposure to consulting and/or similar role in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong analytical and business backgrounds, as well as an understanding of product management dynamics.
• Project management skills: demonstrated ability to multitask, to prioritize, and to push projects over the finish line with sound planning and persistent execution; understanding of how to align resources, seek the input of key constituents, and manage others to achieve desired results.
• Strong written and verbal communicator with excellent presentation and writing skills.
• Ability to deliver quality and efficient work fast.
• Experience working crossfunctionally with multiple departments in consumer tech.
• Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
• Nice to have: additional language skills (Dutch, Spanish...).
