    Summary:

    The work schedule for this position is Full Time (38 hours per week)

    Duties

    Serves as Executive Secretary to the Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs/Regional Senior Commercial Officer (RSCO) for Europe ("Commercial Minister Counselor") and Deputy Senior Commercial Officers (DSCO), respectively, for the Commercial Service to the European Union as well as CSEU office manager. Responsible for managing office communications, correspondence, visitor logistics, time and attendance, and E2 Travel for the Minister Counselor and DSCO. The incumbent also provides support to events organized/sponsored by the office as needed and serves as the office alternate purchase card holder.

    Qualifications and Evaluations

    Requirements:

    EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years of secretarial experience.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE: Must be able to understand and operate intermediate IT functions in a commercial section environment, specifically, Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, and other contact data bases, smartphone operations, and video conferencing programs. Must be aware of current office and commercial business practices. The incumbent should have knowledge of U.S. Mission, DOC, ITA, and FCS administrative and procurement regulations and procedures, including a thorough knowledge of U.S. purchase card regulations and policies, ITA Ethics guidelines, administrative regulations and policies pertaining to Web T&A and LES leave, DOC/ITA/FAM travel regulations and policies, E2Travel, and Gifts and Bequests.

    Education Requirements:

    Completion of secondary school required.

    Evaluations:

    LANGUAGE: Fluency in English. This may be tested.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to work accurately, in an organized fashion with a minimal supervision, to provide excellent customer service to external and internal clients, ability to communicate with a wide range of high-level contacts, to adapt to frequent changes in workload and priorities, must demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify and prevent fraud, waste, and abuse of USG resources.
