Concretely, you will be part of the Data Powerhouse, a brand new created business function, partnering closely with IT & Data team and many of our business stakeholders.

Together with the team, you will be responsible to deliver on the Data strategy, get the data fundamentals right and drive data transformation by

  • Deploying value driven use cases
  • Organizing data to be used at scale
  • Driving the upskilling & change management in the organization


As Data Governance Lead, you establish and ensure adherence to our data governance framework for data policies, standards and practices to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection to meet overall business needs and point of escalation for governance, data quality & protection issues.


  • Your main responsibilities are:_
  • Establish and govern an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap including strategic priorities for development of informationbased capabilities
  • Roll out an enterprisewide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture
  • Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for stewardship of the company's principal information assets
  • Serve as a liaison between data, business and IT teams to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
  • Work with crossfunctional teams to facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data protection standards and adoption requirements across the enterprise
  • Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
  • In conjunction with IT, provide progress reports to board management on governance roadmap
  • Coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expense related to those services
  • Identify new business opportunities pertaining to the use of information assets to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Represent data as a strategic business asset within the organization
In this role, you will be directly reporting into the Data Powerhouse Lead. The team consist of 5 people in total, including 2 data owners & 1 data analyst in addition.

About you

You have a Master in computer science or information management and bring a solid experience in data transformation project management.

Asides English, you can fluently communicate in either French or Dutch.

  • In order to be successful, you_
  • Have knowledge of industry leading data quality and data protection (GDPR) management practices
  • Are familiar with data governance practices, business & technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets & approaches related to data protection (GDPR), knowledge of risk data architecture & tech solutions
  • Have strong project management and team collaboration skills
