COMMUNICATION INTERN (eTwinning team)

European Schoolnet is searching for an enthusiastic junior colleague to join the

eTwinning team. The communication officer will contribute to the web publishing and
communications activities, such as updating and maintaining the webpages (of the
European School Education Platform, incl. eTwinning) and social media profiles. The
technologies, social media and innovation in education. The new colleague will gain an
insight into the work of an international non-profit organisation in education.


MAIN TASKS

Web editing:


  • Drafting, adapting, editing, and proofreading web content including news items,
- articles and pedagogical materials.
  • Contributing to the editorial offer of the eTwinning area of the platform.
  • Publishing, updating and maintaining webpages via a dedicated content

- management system.
  • Collaborating with other web editors, (external) content contributors and
translation coordinators.


Communication and promotion:


  • Updating project's social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Producing newsletters.
  • Assisting in other promotional and dissemination activities of the platform.
  • Contributing to meetings, reporting, and communication strategies as a member
- of the communications team.
  • Present the activities of the platform in public meetings involving stakeholders.

Other tasks:


  • Supporting and hosting webinars and online events.

PROFILE AND SKILLS

  • At least Bachelor degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, journalism,
media, education, international relations)

  • Excellent written and spoken English, additional languages are an asset.
  • Interest and familiarity with corporate social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and
- with web 2.0 technologies.
  • Experience in writing for the web and using web content management systems
- (CMS); basic knowledge of HTML and CSS is an asset.
  • Good organisational skills, positive attitude, and interest in learning by doing.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Duration and working hours: 6-month internship starting in August 2023. A full
- time working schedule from Monday to Friday.

Renewal: Upon successful achievement, the internship can be followed by a CDD

(Contract Duration Determinée - a fixed-term contract).

Benefits:A stipend of 1100 €/month net, local travel expenses support and a monthly

allowance for teleworking from home.

Location: European Schoolnet, Rue de Treves, 61, Brussels, Belgium. The position

requires living in Belgium.

Eligibility: Applicants must be EU citizens or possess a valid work permit for

Belgium.
