  • LESEC is a center for educational research in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Architecture, & Mathematics), which can be both fundamental and applied. It is focused on learning and teaching across all STEAM disciplines and educational levels. LESEC aims not only for a deep understanding of learning, support, and educational processes but also for embedding the findings from this research into educational practice, both within and outside the university. The STEAM educational research project coordinator will contribute to building this type of research by seeking opportunities for collaboration within LESEC. To achieve this, the project coördinator will explore possibilities for cross-fertilization and complementarity in consultation with the relevant researchers, aiming to realize multiplier effects in the form of new research projects. The project coordinator will also explore potential funding channels for STEAM educational research and support the involved researchers in developing project funding proposals. Additionally, the research manager will seek opportunities for implementing and valorizing research results, in collaboration with education innovators in the Science and Technology Group.Within LESEC, the project coordinator will facilitate networking and work toward expanding and consolidating a (inter)national network of STEAM educational researchers. This may involve organizing research events. The project coordinator represents the research pillar of LESEC and manages external relations.
