CONTEXT/INTRODUCTION

In order to fulfil its duties, the Operations Unit of the Security Directorate of DG HR has decided to request the assistance of an Intra-Muros consultant.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS
The main task will be to contribute to Information Systems projects, under the direct supervision of HR.DS.2 officials.

Integration of userfacing elements with server side logic.
Implement core business logic.
Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
Design, develop and work with APIs.
Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
Writing clean, functional code on the backend.
Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
Write technical documentation.

These tasks require skills in the following fields:

Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, PHP/HTML, PYTHON.
Proficiency in AI learning process (finetuning) especially in offline environment.
Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
Familiarity with database technology.
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT.
Knowledge of Web and network infrastructure including VPN.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and docker technologies.
Good understanding of IT security requirements and EC policies is required
Notions on usage of social media.
