The team you'll be part of
The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society.

Nokia's Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

You will be part of small agile software R&D team that is building a Cloud Native Kubernetes-based product.

Our product enables Nokia customers to automate and orchestrate their networks so that they can provision new network services on-demand and at scale.

What you will learn and contribute to
Security and privacy are critical aspects of modern software. We are looking for an intern that is interested in—ideally passionate about—security topics and Kubernetes. You will help our team evaluate different tools for security testing and penetration testing of Cloud Native Kubernetes-based software.

As part of our team, you will:

Explore state-of-the-art security testing techniques and tools
Collaborate on defining the scope and the strategy for performing Dynamic Analysis Security Tests (DAST) and Penetration Tests (PEN)
Experiment with and run different DAST and PEN tools against our product
Automate tool execution and integrate the execution in our Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline
Work with a multinational team of experienced software engineers

Your skills and experience

You have:

Handson experience with Kubernetes and (Docker) containers
Handson experience with Python and/or shell scripting
Handson experience with Linux
A selfmotiving drive and a willingness to learn new things

It would be nice if you also had:

Hands-on experience with GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or other similar DevOps tools
Handson experience with security testing
Knowledge of Kubernetes Operators
Knowledge of computer networks
