Your Profile:
Engineering student with interest in electrified powertrains and automotive E-motors.

Prior experience in the field of Emotors is an asset
You have a European EEA citizenship.
You must be a student for the entire duration of the internship
Open personality and able to work independently in a multicultural business environment.
Eager to find out how things work and creative to come up with own solutions
Fluent in English (reading; writing; speaking)
German is an asset
Able to summarize and explain complex technical information in a clear and visual wa

Your team and your responsibilities:

Division information:

As part of TME R&D organization, the Powertrain Division is responsible for local development ofpowertrains for vehicles built in one of the TME production plants, and for planning and research of new European technologies.

Latest focus points include electrification, big data and connectivity.

Your project:
With increasing electrification in the automotive industry, electric motors play a crucial role in future powertrains. Your project is about investigating new electric motor technologies (mainly PMSM and EESM).

Innovation scouting through literature and patent reviews
Rate and summarize technology benefits and technical hurdles for industrialization
Perform feasibility studies through electromagnetic simulations (software: JMAG)
Multiobjective engineering approach (electromagnetic; mechanical; thermal;) from component level up

to overall system level
