Mission:


The Operational Excellence manager is in charge of:

  • The continuous improvement of the plant performance through the site leadership, (outcome measured by the OBS scorecards improvements)
  • Driving a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing and improvement within and between manufacturing sites
  • Running an active "Margin Improvement Projects" process on site, delivering the required savings
  • The deployment of the Baxter Operating Systems (Business Excellence and Lean Enterprise Principles, tools and methodologies):
  • The management of projects to improve plant performances (identification, coaching, leading).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Baxter Operating System

  • Be the BOS expert (Subject Matter Expert), continuously learning from regional benchmark and corporate guidelines
  • Assess plant deployment status and identify the most profitable development area, in line with plant strategy
  • Guide, coach and lead the deployment of structural and operational tools and principles
  • Be involved personally in daily and weekly operating mechanisms that support BOS (6S, OEE Total Loss Analysis, Daily performance reviews andboards, Visual Management, A3 8 steps Root cause problem solving, Kaizen, VSM, Hoshin )

Operational Excellence

  • Run the continuous improvement process and report improvements in MIP's and other criteria
  • Help overcome roadblocks in achieving continuous improvements by coaching
  • Identify and prioritize the most profitable opportunities, based on observed facts, measures and Pareto analysis, VSM
  • Coach and manage improvement projects (coordination or projects owner), using the adequate methodology, such as DMAIC, A3 problem solving,
  • Continuously teach individuals and teams to improve (from daily guidance to major training sessions, such as Lean Boot Camp, Problem solving, Green Belt training and coaching) _: _Accountability indicators on which annual objectives will be based, set on a yearly base (or whenever necessary) and as communicated by Management / _BOS scoring_ /_ MIP actual vs target_ / _Waste & efficiencies /_Training coverage_/ O_BS scoring._
